The Ford Endeavour 2025 India launch is all set to mark a bold return for the American SUV giant in the Indian market. After its exit in 2021, Ford is bringing back one of its most loved full-size SUVs — and this time, with more muscle, more tech, and a whole new design language that screams modern adventure.

Ford is re-entering the Indian SUV game with the latest generation of its global SUV, the Ford Everest, which will be branded as Endeavour here. This comeback is not just about a new model — it’s a strategic relaunch that could redefine the premium SUV space currently dominated by the Toyota Fortuner.

Ford India Comeback After a Strategic Pause

Ford India wrapped up its operations in 2021, leaving fans disappointed, especially those who loved the Endeavour. But now, with fresh plans and a focused strategy, the company is all set to relaunch the 2025 Endeavour in India. The manufacturing will take place at Ford’s Chennai plant, which was earlier used to build the older Endeavour. This gives Ford a head start, as the base setup is already there for retooling the new-gen SUV.

Ford Endeavour 2025 India Launch Timeline

As per recent updates, the Ford Endeavour 2025 is expected to hit Indian roads by late 2025 or early 2026. The company is likely to use the government’s 2,500-unit import rule to bring in fully-built units (CBUs) without needing local testing approvals in the initial phase.

Once the response is gauged, Ford may shift to local assembly, which would help bring the price down and boost accessibility.

Engine Options: Power Meets Practicality

One of the most exciting bits of the new Endeavour is under the hood. Ford is offering two diesel engines, both strong and capable:

🛠️ 3.0-Litre V6 Turbo Diesel

  • Power: 250 PS
  • Torque: 600 Nm
  • This engine is all about raw power. Built for those who crave performance, it delivers high torque even at low speeds, making city and highway driving smooth and stress-free. It’s perfect for heavy-duty tasks or off-roading.

🛠️ 2.0-Litre Bi-Turbo Diesel

  • Power: 210 PS
  • Torque: 500 Nm
  • More balanced and fuel-efficient, this option is expected to be the top choice for most buyers in India. Since this engine is already being made in India for exports, Ford can keep costs competitive if they go for local production.

Both engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which ensures smooth gear shifts and better fuel economy.

Exterior Design: Big, Bold, and Boxy

The 2025 Ford Endeavour comes with a completely reworked design that’s both modern and muscular. It has a square front-end with a massive grille, sleek Matrix LED headlamps, and C-shaped daytime running lights. The side profile has a tall and upright stance, while the back features inverted L-shaped LED tail-lights and a clean, boxy tailgate.

This design is inspired by Ford’s global language but still retains the rugged character Indians love.

Bigger Dimensions, More Presence

Here’s how the new Endeavour measures:

  • Length: 4940 mm
  • Width: 1844 mm
  • Height: 1918 mm
  • Ground Clearance: 220 mm
  • Wading Depth: 800 mm
  • Fuel Tank: 80 litres

Clearly, the SUV has grown in size and stature — giving it a more imposing presence on the road while also boosting space inside.

Interior: Where Tech Meets Comfort

The cabin is a big leap from the old-gen model. Step inside, and you’ll find a 12-inch vertical touchscreen (10.1-inch in lower trims) powered by Ford’s SYNC 4A infotainment system. A 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster adds a modern touch, while the dashboard gets a fresh, clean layout.

Premium Features You Can Expect:

  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • Premium leather seats (in top trims)
  • Ventilated and heated seats
  • Wireless phone charging
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Ambient lighting
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Premium sound system

Safety: Fully Loaded with ADAS

Safety is a big highlight of the new Endeavour. The SUV gets:

  • 9 Airbags
  • Electronic Stability Control

ADAS Level 2 with:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Reverse Brake Assist
  • Pre-Collision Warning
  • Parking Assist

These features will help the Endeavour stand out as one of the safest premium SUVs in India.

Built for Real Off-Roading

The 2025 Endeavour isn’t just about looks and tech — it’s also built for off-road fun. It features:

  • Advanced 4X4 drivetrain
  • Terrain Management System with modes like Sand, Mud, Tow/Haul, and Slippery
  • Hill Descent Control
  • Electronic Rear Differential Lock

With 800 mm of water-wading ability and high ground clearance, this SUV is ready for any terrain you throw at it.

Rivals and Pricing Strategy

The new Ford Endeavour will go up against:

  • Toyota Fortuner
  • Jeep Meridian
  • MG Gloster
  • Skoda Kodiaq

Initial fully-built units might be priced between 70 lakh to 80 lakh, but locally assembled models could start around 50 lakh. This would give Ford an edge over the Fortuner, especially with its better ride comfort, richer cabin, and more features.

Ford's Future in India

This relaunch isn’t just about one SUV. It’s a sign of Ford’s larger plan for India. If the new Endeavour does well, we might see other models making a return too. Ford’s earlier models had a loyal fanbase, and with the right pricing, they can revive that trust.
